The Czech Environmental Partnership Foundation is the leading Czech foundation supporting sustainable development projects throughout all Czech Republic regions. Since it was established in 1991 it has endorsed as many as 2160 projects carried out by non-profit NGOs, schools, municipal authorities and individuals, and allocated CZK 188 million in grants.
Together with affiliated foundations in Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Slovakia, it is a part of the Environmental Partnership for Sustainable Development association.
The Czech Environmental Partnership Foundation manages to fulfil its goals by allocating grants and organising targeted programmes. These programmes help the Foundation to achieve, as efficiently as possible, positive changes in its fields of interest. This is done for example by the Foundation’s cooperation with local partners: it provides them with technical support and grants. The Foundation launched the following programmes: Open Grant Programme, Tree of Life, Greenways, Public Spaces, Traffic Programme, Schools for Sustainable Development and Partnership for Kolín Region programme.
