
The goal of this grantmaking program is to support public participation in environment related issues in the Czech Republic. Calls for proposals are usually announced twice a year and the amount per grant is usually no bigger than 5000 EUR (7000 USD).

The Open Grants Program supports projects such as participation of civic sector in land use planning, legal and expert assistance to local associations working on environmental issues, or protection of valuable natural habitats from non-sensitive investments. Information and awarness raising projects incresing public involvement in key environmental issues are also the target activities supported by the Program. The Program especially supports topics that are usually neglected by the national, regional or local governments – public participation in decision making processes, access to information, cunsumers‘ behaviour, etc. The program also supports activities of NGOs in advocacy work on national or European level.
Financial resources for this program come mostly from revenews of the Foundation’s endowment.
